Evie from Yr 3 who has Type 1 Diabetes, has been growing her hair for the past 18 months so that she could generously donate it to ‘Wigs for Kids’.
Evie on one of her visits to the John Hunter for her own health management saw a little girl who had no hair and suffered with cancer. Evie was moved by this and told her mother she wanted to grow her hair and donate it, so that kids like this little girl would have a wig to wear.
We are so proud of you Evie for your generosity of spirit and awareness of others. You are amazing!
